Recombinant Hepatitis C Virus

NS5A is a component of the replication complex which takes part in RNA-binding. NS5A protein’s hyperphosphorylated form is an inhibitor of viral replication. NS5A interacts with Human VAPB and through it targets the viral replication complex to vesicles. NS5A down-regulates viral IRES translation initiation and mediates interferon resistance by interacting and inhibiting human EIF2AK2/PKR. NS5a is also inhibits apoptosis by interacting with BIN1 and FKBP8.

Recombinant HCV NS5A produced in E. coli is a single polypeptide chain containing 118 amino acids (aa 2210-2306) and having a molecular mass of 13.4kDa.
Recombinant HCV NS5A is fused to a 21 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Sterile filtered colorless solution.

The HCV NS5A protein solution (0.25mg/ml) contains 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0), 0.2M NaCl, 40% glycerol and 1mM DTT.

Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time.
For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).
Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.

Greater than 90% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
