Recombinant Human Thioredoxin

Thioredoxin domain containing 17, Thioredoxin-like protein 5, Protein 42-9-9, thioredoxin (Trx)-related protein 14 kDa, TRP14, TXNL5, MGC14353.

TXNDC17 is a disulfide reductase that takes part in several redox reactions using the reversible oxidation of its active center dithiol to a disulfide and catalyzes dithiol-disulfide exchange reactions. TXNDC17 has peroxidase activity and assists to eliminate cellular hydrogen peroxide.

TXNDC17 Human Recombinant produced in E. coli is a single polypeptide chain containing 147 amino acids (1-123) and having a molecular mass of 16.5kDa.
TXNDC17 is fused to a 24 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Sterile Filtered colorless solution.

The TXNDC17 solution (1mg/ml) contains 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0), 50mM Nacl and 10% glycerol.

Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time.
For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).
Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.

Greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
