Recombinant Human Osteoclast A

OSCAR, PIgR-3, PIGR3, hOSCAR, PIgR-3, Poly-Ig Receptor 3.

Osteoclast-associated immunoglobulin-like receptor isoform 6 or OSCAR, is a receptor for surfactant protein D that can be found on human myeloid cells. OSCAR is part of the TNF-α release from human CCR2+ inflammatory monocytes process. The protein is involved in antigen presentation and activation of dendritic cells. Preosteoclasts or mature osteoclasts express the OSCAR protein. Patients that suffer from RA (rheumatoid arthritis) has upregulations on monocytes which present increased proosteoclastogenic potential.

OSCAR produced in Sf9 Baculovirus cells is a single, glycosylated polypeptide chain (19-282 a.a.) and fused to a 6 aa His Tag at C-terminus containing a total of 270 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 29.2kDa.OSCAR shows multiple bands between 40-57kDa on SDS-PAGE, reducing conditions and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Sf9, Baculovirus cells.

Sterile Filtered colorless solution.

OSCAR protein solution (0.25mg/ml) contains Phosphate Buffered Saline (pH 7.4) & 10% glycerol.

Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. 

Greater than 90.0% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
