Chitinase 3-Like 2 (CHI3L2) is similar to bacterial chitinases but lacks chitinase activity. CHI3L2 protein is secreted and is involved in cartilage biogenesis. CHI3L2 is a lectin, which binds chitooligosaccharides and other glycans with high affinity, but not heparin.

CHI3L2 produced in Sf9 Baculovirus cells is a single, glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 372 amino acids (27-390a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 41.9kDa.

Sterile filtered colorless solution.

CHI3L2 protein solution (0.5mg/ml) contains Phosphate Buffered Saline (pH 7.4) and 10% glycerol.

Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time.
For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).
Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.

Greater than 90.0% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
