Product overview Description Anti-PARS2 rabbit polyclonal antibody Applications ELISA, IHC Immunogen Fusion protein of human PARS2 Reactivity Human, Mouse, Rat Content 0.96 mg/ml Host species Rabbit Ig class Immunogen-specific rabbit IgG Purification Antigen affinity purification
Target information Symbol PARS2 Full name prolyl-tRNA synthetase 2, mitochondrial (putative) Synonyms proRS; MT-PRORS Swissprot Q7L3T8
Target Background This gene encodes a putative member of the class II family of aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases. These enzymes play a critical role in protein biosynthesis by charging tRNAs with their cognate amino acids. This protein is encoded by the nuclear genome but is likely to be imported to the mitochondrion where it is thought to catalyze the ligation of proline to tRNA molecules. Mutations have been found in this gene in some patients with Alpers syndrome.
Applications Immunohistochemistry Predicted cell location: Cytoplasm Positive control: Human cervical cancer Recommended dilution: 30-150 Predicted cell location: Cytoplasm Positive control: Human tonsil Recommended dilution: 30-150
