LS-F861 is a 96-well enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) for the Quantitative detection of Human CREB1 / CREB in samples of Cell Lysates and Nuclear Lysates. It is based upon a DNA Binding Phosphorylation assay principle.About CREB1 / CREB
CREB (cAMP response element binding protein1), a DNA binding protein, is a member of the leucine zipper family of transcription factors. CREB interaction with DNA requires phosphorylation at Ser 119 by activated cAMP protein kinase A. Once phosphorylated CREB binds to an 8 base enhancer know as the cAMP response element (CRE) containing a conserved core sequence TGACG.
