Store at -20 °C for one year. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. The lyophilized antibody is stable at room temperature for at least one month and for greater than a year when kept at -20°C. When reconstituted in sterile pH 7.4 0.01M PBS or diluent of antibody the antibody is stable for at least two weeks at 2-4 °C.
产品介绍
background: Glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor (GDNF) and the related neurotrophic factor neurturin (NTN) are potent survival factors for central and peripheral neurons. GDNF is a glycosylated, disulfide-bonded homodimer that is distantly related to the TGF Beta superfamily of growth factors. Three receptors for these factors, GFR Alpha-1 (also designated GDNFR-Alpha, RETL1 or TrnR-1), GFR Alpha-2 (also designated GDNFR-Beta, RETL2, NTNR-Alpha or TrnR-2) and GFR Alpha-3 have been identified. The receptors do not contain transmembrane domains and are attached to the cell membrane by glycosyl-phosphoinositol linkage. Both GFR Alpha-1 and GFR Alpha-2 have been shown to mediate the GDNF-dependent and NTN-dependent phosphorylation and activation of the tyrosine kinase Ret. GFR Alpha-3 is expressed only during development.
Function: Receptor for the glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor, ARTN (artemin). Mediates the artemin-induced autophosphorylation and activation of the RET receptor tyrosine kinase.
Subcellular Location: Cell membrane.
Tissue Specificity: Widely expressed in adult and fetus which exhibit a similar pattern. Essentially not expressed in the central nervous system, but highly expressed in several sensory and sympathetic ganglia of the peripheral nervous system. Moderate expression in many non-neuronal tissues, particularly those of the digestive and urogenital systems, but high expression in stomach and appendix. Several types of glandular tissues show low expression. Very low or no expression detected in the hematopoietic system.
Post-translational modifications: N-glycosylated.
Similarity: Belongs to the GDNFR family.
