关于CD99/MIC2：
CD99 is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein and the founding member of the CD99 family of molecules. The extracellular domain of CD99 contains no identifiable motifs, its cytoplasmic region, although short, does have signal transduction capability. Cells known to express CD99 include fibroblasts, neutrophils, T cells, double positive thymocytes, CD34+ stem cells, monocytes and endothelial cells. Two types of CD99 isoforms have been classified. Native human CD99 is referred to as the long, or type I isoform. The best studied type II isoform shows an Asp-Gly substitution for the C terminal 27 amino acids. The type I and II isoforms have distinctive signal transduction pathways (FAKsrc for type I PI3K plus srcERK1/2 for type II), and mediate clearly different biological outcomes. Homophilic interaction between CD99 on the neutrophil and CD99 on the endothelial cell regulates the transendothelial migration of neutrophils during inflammation. Human CD99 has 48% aa sequence identity to mouse CD99.

Chloride Intracellular Channel Protein 2 (CLIC2) is a critical component of all living cells; it regulatescellular traffic of Chloride ion and it can be inserted into membranes anf form chloride ion channels. Membrane insertion seems to be redox-regulated and may occur only under oxydizing conditions, channel activity depends on the pH. CLIC2 is involved in regulating membrane potential and organic solute transport. CLIC2 modulates the activity of RYR2 and inhibits Calcium influx. CLIC2 can be detected in the adult brain, liver, lung, heart, stomach, spleen and testis. It is expressed in fetal liver and adult skeletal muscle. CLIC2 is a potential candidate for one of many diseases linked to Xq28.

Follistatin-Related Protein 1 (FSTL1) is a secreted protein that contains two EF-hand domains, one follistatin-like domain, one Kazal-like domain, and one VWFC domain. Its functional significance in physiological and pathological processes is not completely understood. However, FSTL1 is thought to modulate the action of some growth factors on cell proliferation and differentiation. FSTL1 maybe an autoantigen associated with rheumatoid arthritis.
