Intercellular Adhesion Molecule-2 (ICAM2) belongs to the intercellular adhesion molecule (ICAM) family. All ICAM proteins are type I transmembrane glycoproteins, containing 2-9 immunoglobulin-like C2-type domains, and bind to the leukocyte adhesion LFA-1 protein. The ICAM2 protein has a role in lymphocyte recirculation by blocking LFA-1-dependent cell adhesion. ICAM2 mediates adhesive interactions vital for antigen-specific immune response, NK-cell mediated clearance, lymphocyte recirculation, and additional cellular interactions essential for immune response and surveillance.
DESCRIPTION
ICAM2 Human Recombinant produced in E.coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 225 amino acids (22-223) and having a molecular mass of 24.8 kDa.
ICAM2 is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
SOURCE
Escherichia Coli.
PHYSICAL APPEARANCE
Sterile Filtered colorless solution.
FORMULATION
The ICAM2 solution (0.5mg/ml) contains 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0), 0.15M NaCl, 10% glycerol and 1mM DTT.
STABILITY
Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time.
For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).
Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
