Dickkopf-related protein 1 (DKK1) antagonizes canonical Wnt signaling by inhibiting LRP5/6 interaction with Wnt and by creating a ternary complex with the transmembrane protein KREMEN which promotes internalization of LRP5/6. DKKs have a significant role in vertebrate development, where they locally inhibit Wnt controlled processes for instance antero-posterior axial patterning, limb development, somitogenesis and eye formation. Furthermore, Dkks are involved in bone formation and bone disease, cancer and Alzheimer disease in Adults.DESCRIPTION
DKK1 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 258 amino acids (32-266 a.a) and having a molecular mass of 28.2kDa.DKK1 is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
