产品概述:The muscarinic cholinergic receptors belong to a largerfamily of G protein-coupled receptors. The functional diversity ofthese receptors is defined by the binding of acetylcholine to thesereceptors and includes cellular responses such as adenylate cyclaseinhibition, phosphoinositide degeneration, and potassium channelmediation. Muscarinic receptors influence many effects ofacetylcholine in the central and peripheral nervous system. Themuscarinic cholinergic receptor 2 is involved in mediation ofbradycardia and a decrease in cardiac contractility. Multiplealternatively spliced transcript variants have been described forthis gene.
靶点/蛋白:This CHRM2 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 336-364 amino acids from the Central region of human CHRM2.

详情:FunctionThe muscarinic acetylcholine receptor mediates various cellular responses, including inhibition of adenylate cyclase, breakdown of phosphoinositides and modulation of potassium channels through the action of G proteins. Primary transducing effect is adenylate cyclase inhibition. Signaling promotes phospholipase C activity, leading to the release of inositol trisphosphate (IP3); this then triggers calcium ion release into the cytosol.Cellular_LocationCell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. Cell junction, synapse, postsynaptic cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. Note=Phosphorylation in response to agonist binding promotes receptor internalization.
