产品概述:The inhibin beta B subunit joins the alpha subunit toform a pituitary FSH secretion inhibitor. Inhibin has been shownto regulate gonadal stromal cell proliferation negatively and tohave tumour-suppressor activity. In addition, serum levels ofinhibin have been shown to reflect the size of granulosa-celltumors and can therefore be used as a marker for primary as well asrecurrent disease. Because expression in gonadal and variousextragonadal tissues may vary severalfold in a tissue-specificfashion, it is proposed that inhibin may be both agrowth/differentiation factor and a hormone. Furthermore, the betaB subunit forms a homodimer, activin B, and also joins with thebeta A subunit to form a heterodimer, activin AB, both of whichstimulate FSH secretion.
靶点/蛋白:This INHBB antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 369-397 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human INHBB.

详情:FunctionInhibins and activins inhibit and activate, respectively, the secretion of follitropin by the pituitary gland. Inhibins/activins are involved in regulating a number of diverse functions such as hypothalamic and pituitary hormone secretion, gonadal hormone secretion, germ cell development and maturation, erythroid differentiation, insulin secretion, nerve cell survival, embryonic axial development or bone growth, depending on their subunit composition.
