High Mobility Group Protein B2 (HMGB2) belongs to the non-histone chromosomal high-mobility group protein family. Members of this family are chromatin-associated and widely spread in the nucleus of higher eukaryotic cells. HMGB2 contains 2 HMG box DNA-binding domains. It is associated with chromatin and has the ability to bend DNA, preferentially single-stranded DNA. It is shown that HMGB2 is able to efficiently bend DNA and form DNA circles. In addition, HMGB2 is involved in the final ligation step in DNA end-joining processes of DNA double-strand breaks repair and V(D)J recombination.

Limitin, also called IFN-ζ, is a secreted interferon (IFN)-like glycoprotein. Limitin has approximately 30% sequence homology with IFN-α, IFN-β, and IFN-ω and binds to the IFN-α/β receptors. Like IFN-α and IFN-β, limitin has antiproliferative, immunomodulatory, and antiviral properties, it is unique in lacking influence on myeloid and erythroid progenitors. Similar dose requirement between limitin and IFN-α was observed for the enhancement of cytotoxic T lymphocyte activity, the augmentation of MHC class I expression, and the growth inhibition of a myelomonocytic leukemia cell line.

关于CREG ：
Cellular repressor of E1A genes (CREG) is an evolutionarily conserved lysosomal protein, and an important new factor in regulating tissue homeostasis that has been shown to antagonize injury of tissues or cells. CREG contains three mannose 6-phosphate (M6P) markers, and depends on interactions with M6P receptors for efficient delivery to lysosomes, which is implicated in the regulation of lysosomal functions. This protein shares limited sequence similarity with E1A and binds both the general transcription factor TBP and the tumor suppressor pRb in vitro. CREG plays an important role in the control of cell growth and differentiation.
