ELISA
Description: The human GITR ELISA is an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative detection of human GITR. The human GITR ELISA is for research use only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.
Glucocorticoid-induced TNFR-related protein (GITR) is a member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor (TNF-R) and is also known as Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 18 (TNFRSF18).
GITR is receptor for TNFSF18 and seems to interact with activated T-lymphocytes and endothelial cells and in the regulation of T-cell receptor-mediated cell death. GITR plays role in activation of NF-kappa-B via the TRAF2/NIK pathway.
It has been shown that antibodies to GITR promote an anti-tumor response through loss of Treg lineage stability.
