是由G群链球菌株产生的一种细胞壁成分，可结合很多种免疫球蛋白的Fc部分。Protein G对不同种属Ig或同一种属的不同型Ig均表现出不同的亲和力。 和Protein A对比，Protein G对于某些亚型的IGG抗体结合力更强。Protein G能结合所有的人和鼠的IGG抗体亚型，包括鼠的IGG1。Protein G也可以与小鼠的IGG2a和IGG2b结合，而Protein A则不能。
