英文名:Polymyxin B Sulfate
描述:Polymyxin B Sulfate (Poly-RX) is a mixture of polymyxins B1 and B2, obtained from Bacillus polymyxa strains. They are basic polypeptides of about eight amino acids and have cationic detergent action on cell membranes. Polymyxin B Sulfate (Poly-RX) is used for infections with gram-negative organisms, but may be neurotoxic and nephrotoxic.

文献和实验发现于多粘杆菌（Bacillus polymyxa）培养液中的抗菌性多肽，有A、B、C、D、E等五种。抗菌谱相互类似而范围宽广，特别对革兰氏阴性细菌作用颇强，毒性较弱。口服时不能吸收，但皮下或肌肉注射很快就转移到血液中去，在3-16小时保持较高的血中浓度。多粘菌素A用于治疗幼儿的重症百日咳可获很好效果。能使金黄色葡萄球菌及大肠杆菌的R型菌体凝集，并形成核糖核酸和不溶性盐类。多粘菌素B对肾的损害较A、 D两类为少，因此作为点眼药应市，对细菌性眼炎有效。
