Packaging: High Oxidized LDL is membrane filtered and aseptically packaged in a solution containing phosphate-buffered saline at pH 7.4.
Preparation: Human LDL (which was purified to homogeneity via ultra centrifugation(1.019-1.063g/cc)) is extensively oxidized with Cu2SO4 (oxidant) in PBS at 37°C. Oxidation is terminated by adding excess EDTA-Na2. Each lot is analyzed on agarose gel electrophoresis for migration versus LDL. This lot of OxLDL migrates 3.0fold further than the native LDL. This product can produce potent oxidative stress and can be used to induce cell apoptosis/death(>50%) and produce cell injure model.
TBARS: TBARS is determined colorimetrically by using Malondialdehyde as a standard.

Storage: his product is stable for only 4 weeks after receipt when handled aseptically and stored at 2-8°C. NEVER FREEZE AND PROTECT FROM LIGHT.
Special Note: After prolonged storage, some precipitate may be observed. This is normal for this product. Clarify out the aggregates by spinning in a microfuge for 2 minutes.
