Description 
Peroxidase-antiperoxidase complex consisting of horseradish peroxidase and immunospecifically pure goat anti-peroxidase. Form Purified Antibody (in PBS, 0.015M sodium azide) Host Goat [Ab] ACTIVITY-SELECT Goat PAP 1 mg/mL Specificity Goat PAP is intended for the detection of first antibody of goat origin via an excess of an antigoat IgG (such as rabbit antigoat IgG Cat # SMI-5020C). Goat antibodies of any isotype are detectable via reaction with shared light chains.
Composition: Immune complex of horseradish peroxidase and goat antiperoxidase providing maximal immunocytochemical staining intensity at a dilution range of 1:100 to 1:800. Staining intensity may decrease at dilutions of 1:1,600 and beyond.Uses ACTIVITY-SELECT Goat PAP This antibody is primarily used for Immunohistochemistry applications, but it is also effective in blotting and ELISA assays. It can be used with diaminobenzidine tetrahydrochloride (DAB) substrates for detection with peroxidase. Suggested Working Dilution Because of the higher activity of our newly developed PAP, staining intensity is increased and more extensive dilutions are required with consequently greater economy. Dilution for use in immunocytochemistry depends on tissue preparation, abundance of antigen and quality of the first antibody. Therefore, we recommend that initially PAP be applied in a series of dilutions ranging from 1:100 to 1:1,600. Similar dilutions are recommended for Western blots and ELISA. Concentrations higher than those recommended for PAP or other antibody-based reagents may produce a brown background and decrease specific staining intensity. Notes This antibody is sold for research use only, not for human or in-vivo use. Covance antibodies may not be resold or modified for resale without prior written approval. Storage Store at -20°C. Upon initial thawing, apportion into working aliquots and store at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to prevent denaturing the antibody.
