Biochem/physiol Actions
trans-Chalcone exhibits antifungal activity against Trichophyton rubrum. It is inhibitor of fatty acid synthase3 and α-amylase4. It induces programmed cell death due to reduced mitochondrial transmembrane potential in Arabidopsis thaliana roots5.
