These Chromsystems serum calibrators are designed for calibrating your analysis system. The lyophilised calibrators are based on human serum and should be used routinely according the assay procedure being used. They are available as Multilevel Calibrator Set only, with 3 different calibration levels and a low level calibrator. The calibrators are to be handled in the same manner as a patient specimen.
Remove the metal seal / screw cap and rubber stopper from the vial. Add exactly 1.0 ml of double distilled water (possibly HPLC-grade) into the vial. Replace the stopper and allow to sit for 10 to 15 minutes at room temperature. Swirl the vial to dissolve the contents until homogeneity.
Stored below –18 °C unopened calibrators are stable until the expiry date which is stated on the vial labels. The reconstituted calibrators can be stored up to one week tightly capped at +2 to +8 °C. If they cannot be analysed immediately after reconstitution, they should be aliquoted and have to be stored frozen below –18 °C (up to 3 months).
