Product Information
KE00596 is a solid phase sandwich Enzyme Linked-Immuno-Sorbent Assay (Sandwich ELISA). The human CD155/PVR ELISA kit is to be used to detect and quantify protein levels of endogenous human CD155/PVR. The assay recognizes human CD155/PVR. An antibody specific for human CD155/PVR has been pre-coated onto the microwells. The human CD155/PVR protein in samples is captured by the coated antibody after incubation. Following extensive washing, another horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated antibody specific for human CD155/PVR is added to detect the captured human CD155/PVR protein. For signal development, followed by Tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent. Solution containing sulfuric acid is used to stop color development and the color intensity which is proportional to the quantity of bound protein is measurable at 450 nm with the correction wavelength set at 630 nm.

Background Information
The poliovirus receptor (PVR, CD155), a member of the nectin-like family of proteins, enhances the existing anti-tumor responses. Similar to other members of the family, CD155 is involved in important cellular processes, such as adhesion, contact inhibition, migration, proliferation, and the immune response. It has also been shown to play important roles in modulating the function of tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes via interactions with both stimulatory and inhibitory receptors on T and NK cells. Besides, human tissues express soluble CD155 (sCD155) that lack the transmembrane region. The sCD155 level in serum may be potentially useful as a biomarker for cancer development and progression.
