Detection of POMC (ACTH)+ cellsClone REAL1438 is an antibody fragment derived from the full POMC (ACTH) antibody molecule. It displays no binding to Fc receptors. The recombinantly engineered antibody fragments are multimerized to form the REAdye_lease Complex to bind markers with high avidity. | Clone REAL1438 recognizes POMC (ACTH), also known as Adrenocorticotropic hormone, a polypeptide tropic hormone produced and secreted by the basophilic cells of the anterior pituitary gland, in response to biological stress. POMC (ACTH) is used as a medication and diagnostic agent. It is an important component of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis and is often produced in response to biological stress. POMC (ACTH) stimulates the adrenal cortex to release cortisol, and exerts an indirect influence on the production of insulin. It also increases the pigmentation of skin by increasing melanin production in melanocytes. | For removal of REAdye_lease fluorochromes for optional relabeling with different fluorochrome-conjugated REAdye_lease antibodies use the REAlease Support Kit (130-120-675). |
