Detection of Podocalyxin+ cellsClone REAL1394 is an antibody fragment derived from the full Podocalyxin antibody molecule. It displays no binding to Fc receptors. The recombinantly engineered antibody fragments are multimerized to form the REAdye_lease Complex to bind markers with high avidity. | Clone REAL1394 recognizes Podocalyxin, also known as PCLP1 and PODXL, a single-pass type I membrane sialoglycoprotein. Podocalyxin is involved in the regulation of adhesion, cell morphology and cancer progression. It is most closely related to CD34 and endoglycan, expressed by kidney podocytes, hematopoietic progenitors, vascular endothelia, and a subset of neurons. Podocalyxin plays a role in cancer development and aggressiveness by inducing cell migration and invasion. Podocalyxin is a member of the CD34-related family of sialomucins and is recognized as a stem cell and tumour marker. | For removal of REAdye_lease fluorochromes for optional relabeling with different fluorochrome-conjugated REAdye_lease antibodies use the REAlease Support Kit (130-120-675). |
