Detection of Desmin+ cellsClone REAL564 is an antibody fragment derived from the full Desmin antibody molecule. It displays no binding to Fc receptors. The recombinantly engineered antibody fragments are multimerized to form the REAdye_lease Complex to bind markers with high avidity. | Clone REAL564 recognizes the human Desmin (DES), a muscle-specific type III intermediate filament, which is found in cardiac muscle, skeletal muscle and smooth muscle tissue. Desmin is essential for proper muscular structure and function and plays an important role in regulating the sarcomere architecture and integrating sarcolemma, Z disk, and nuclear membrane in sarcomeres. Mutations in the DES gene are associated with a variable clinical phenotype which desmin-related myopathy, familial cardiac and skeletal myopathy (CSM), and with distal myopathies. Clone REAL564 does not react with Keratin, Vimentin, Neurofilament, and GFAP. | For removal of REAdye_lease fluorochromes for optional relabeling with different fluorochrome-conjugated REAdye_lease antibodies use the REAlease Support Kit (130-120-675). |
