Detection of CD366 (TIM-3) Isoform 2+ cellsClone REAL818 is an antibody fragment derived from the full CD366 (TIM-3) Isoform 2 antibody molecule. It displays no binding to Fc receptors. The recombinantly engineered antibody fragments are multimerized to form the REAdye_lease Complex to bind markers with high avidity. | Clone REAL818 recognizes isoform 2 of the CD366 (TIM-3) protein, a single-pass type I membrane protein. T cell immunoglobulin and mucin domain containing protein-3 (TIM-3) or Hepatitis A virus cellular receptor 2 (HAVcr-2). REAL818 detects CD366 (TIM-3) Isoform 2 on tonsil epithelium, dendritic cells, macrophages and monocytes. CD366 (TIM-3) Isoform 2 is an activation-induced inhibitory molecule involved in tolerance and shown to induce T-cell exhaustion in chronic viral infection and cancers. It has been proposed to inhibit Tʜ1-mediated immune responses and regulates Tʜ1 and Tʜ17 cytokine secretion. The interaction of CD366 (TIM-3) Isoform 2 and its ligand galectin-9 induces apoptosis of Tʜ1 cells. Note that REAL818 primarily detects isoform 2 of the CD366 (TIM-3) protein. | For removal of REAdye_lease fluorochromes for optional relabeling with different fluorochrome-conjugated REAdye_lease antibodies use the REAlease Support Kit (130-120-675).
