The recombinantly engineered antibody fragments are multimerized to form the REAlease Complex to bind markers with high avidity. | Clone REAL400 recognizes the mouse Ly-49A and Ly-49D antigens belonging to the Ly-49 family. Members of Ly-49 family are homodimeric C-type lectin receptors, recognizing MHC class I molecules as ligands, and include activating and inhibitory receptor molecules. Ly-49A is a 44 kDa type II transmembrane, disulfide-linked homodimer with C-type lectin extracellular domains. Expression of Ly-49A is found on subset of natural killer (NK) and NK-T cells. Ly-49D is a prototypic activating member of Ly-49 family and in contrast to inhibitory members, lacks a cytoplasmic immunoreceptor tyrosine-based inhibitory motif (ITIM). A positive signal is initiated by interaction of Ly-49D with immunoreceptor tyrosine-based activating motif (ITAM) containing transmembrane adapter DAP12.
