Identification and enumeration of CD109+ cells by flow cytometry.Clone REA1295 recognizes the human CD109 antigen, a GPI-anchored monomeric glycoprotein which is also known as platelet-specific Gov antigen or CPAMD7. CD109 is a member of the alpha2-macroglobulin (alpha2M)/complement superfamily and exists in two isoforms of 120 and 150 kDa. It plays a role in the regulation of isoform-specific TGF-beta signaling in keratinocytes. Expression of CD109 is found on activated T cells, activated platelets, human keratinocytes and endothelial cells, but also on pluriopotent hematopoietic stem cells. Furthermore CD109 is expressed on carcinomas and cancer cell lines. | Additional Information: Clone REA1295 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors.
