Identification and enumeration of CD108 (SEMA7A)+ cells by flow cytometryClone REA1467 recognizes the CD108 (SEMA7A) antigen, an 80-kD glycoprotein expressed on some leukemic cell lines, activated lymphocytes and erythrocytes. Its surface expression is rapidly upregulated if it is stimulated with PHA, PWM, Con A, PMA or anti-CD3 and subsequently gradually decreases. SEMA7A is expressed in various adult tissues such as adipose, colon, esophagus, heart, brain, spleen, testis, lung, ovary, and uterus. CD108 is important for integrin-mediated signaling and functions in regulating cell migration and immune responses and plays an important role in modulating inflammation and T-cell-mediated immune responses. | Additional information: Clone REA1467 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors. |
