Recombinant antibody for the detection of a VGLUT1+ cellsClone REA1166 recognizes the mouse and rat VGLUT1, a vesicular glutamate transporter, also known as Slc17a7 or Bnpi. Glutamate transporters belong to a family of neurotransmitter transporter proteins which consists of two classes, EAAT (excitatory amino acid transportesr) and VGLUT (vesicular glutamate transporters). VGLUTs are located in the membrane of glutamate-containing synaptic vesicles and regulate the uptake of glutamate into synaptic vesicles at presynaptic nerve terminals of excitatory neural cells. | Additional information: Clone REA1166 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors.
