Identification and enumeration of TCR Vβ8+ cells by flow cytometryClone REA684 recognizes the mouse Vβ8 T cell receptor (TCR Vβ8) of mice having the b haplotype. Vβ8 is a variant of the TCR β chain that associates with the TCR α chain. The TCR is responsible for recognizing antigens bound to major histocompatibility complex (MHC) molecules. It is a disulfide-linked membrane-anchored heterodimeric glycoprotein normally consisting of the highly variable α and β chains expressed as part of a complex with the invariant CD3 chain molecules. TCR Vβ8 is expressed on a subset of α/β T cells. | Additional information: Clone RE684 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors.
