Identification and enumeration of NK1.1+ cells by flow cytometryClone REA1162 recognizes the mouse NK1.1 antigen, a single-pass type II membrane protein also known as CD161 or killer cell lectin-like receptor subfamily B member 1. NK1.1 is expressed by natural killer cells and a subset of T cells in the mouse strains C57BL/6, FVB/N, and NZB, but not in the mouse strains AKR, BALB/c, CBA/J, C3H, DBA/1, DBA/2, NOD, SJL, and 129. It plays a stimulatory role on natural killer cells cytotoxicity. Activation by cross-linking of the receptor induces Ca 2)+ mobilization and interferon-gamma production. | Additional information: Clone REA1162 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors.
