Recombinant antibody for the detection of MART-1+ cellsClone REA1093 recognizes the human MART-1 protein, also known as Melan-A, which is an 18 kD transmembrane protein and expressed in cells of melanocytic lineage. MART-1 is expressed by a large proportion of melanomas and by melanoma cell lines. A fragment of the protein is bound by MHC class I complexes which present it to cytotoxic T cells of the immune system. | Additional Information: Clone REA1093 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors.
