Identification and enumeration of FOLR1+ cells by flow cytometryClone REA1336 recognizes the human cell surface glycoprotein FOLR1, also known as Folate receptor alpha or Adult folate-binding protein. FOLR1 belongs to the folate receptor family and expression is mainly found in tissues of epithelial origin, including placenta and thymus epithelium, kidney, lung and cerebellum. Expression is increased in malignant tissues. FOLR1 binds folic acid and its reduced derivatives and transport 5-methyltetrahydrofolate into cells. | REA1336 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors.
