Detection of CDX2+ cellsClone REA1416 recognizes th human CDX2 transcription factor, also known as Homeobox protein CDX-2. It regulates the trophectoderm in mammalian development and plays a role in intestinal development by regulating the transcription of multiple genes expressed in the intestinal epithelium. A change in CDX2 expression may indicate malignant cancers such as colorectal cancer. Studies have shown that a lack of CDX2 indicates impaired development of hematopoietic progenitor cells and altered Hox gene expression. CDX-2 is detected in small intestine, colon and pancreas. |
