Detection of human Notch2+ cellsThe MHN2-25 mononuclear antibody reats with the extracellular domain of human Notch2, one of four members of the Notch family of receptors. Upon binding its membrane-bound ligand of the Delta-like or Jagged family members, the Notch receptor undergoes two proteolytic cleavage steps eventually releasing the Notch intracellular domain (NICD), which subsequently translocates into the nucleus, where it activates transcription within a multiprotein complex. Notch2 is expressed on various hematopetic cells, including T cell precursors in the thymus and activated peripheral T cells. In addition, the altered expression of Notch2 in various leukemias, lymphomas, and cancers has been reported.
