Identification and enumeration of CD73+ cells by flow cytometryThe monoclonal antibody TY/11.8 recognizes CD73, also known as ecto-5'-nucleotidase. CD73 is a glycosyl phosphatidylinositol (GPI)-linked membrane bound glycoprotein and dephosphorylates extracellular nucleoside monophosphatase into nucleosides. Expression of CD73 is found in subsets of myeloid cells, T cells and thymic epithelial cells. CD73 together with ectozyme CD39 regulates the extracellular ATP and adenosine levels.
