The CheKine™ Soil Laccase (SL) Activity Assay Kit (Micro Method) is specifically designed for the detection of laccase activity in soil samples. Laccase is a copper-containing polyphenol oxidase belonging to the blue copper oxidase family, widely distributed in fungi and higher plants. This enzyme possesses strong redox capacity and is extensively applied in the degradation of environmental pollutants, lignocellulose processing, and bio-detection. This kit utilizes an enzymatic reaction to decompose the substrate ABTS, generating ABTS free radicals with high absorbance at 420 nm. By measuring the rate of increase in absorbance, the SL activity in soil samples can be accurately calculated.
