Product Overview
Stemedia™ WIT-P-NC™ Culture Medium is a serum-free, completely defined medium optimized for the robust culture of human mammary epithelial cells of normal phenotype (also sometimes termed Breast Primary Epithelial Cells, or BPECs)1,2,3. Stemedia™ WIT-P-NC™ Culture Medium supports the expansion of human primary mammary epithelial cells for more than 20 passages without the growth arrest that is seen with other primary epithelial cell culture media. In addition, primary mammary epithelial cells grown in Stemedia™ WIT-P-NC™ Culture Medium exhibit a more normal luminal pattern of gene expression than cells grown in other epithelial culture media 1,2. This product is identical to the WIT-P Culture Medium (Cat. No. 00-0045), with the exception that no cholera toxin is included. Cholera toxin should be added to the medium to a final concentration of 100 ng/ml, prior to use.

Size / Quantity 100 ml basal medium + 3 ml supplement
Storage Store basal medium at 4oC. Store supplement at -20oC. The media and supplements are stable for a minimum of 6 months when stored as directed.
Quality Control Breast primary epithelial cells are tested for proliferation and morphology during culture over 3 continuous passages.
