Description Monoclonal Antibody against Kinesin Heavy Chain Intended Use **Research Use Only (RUO)**
This product is sold for laboratory research use only, not for human or in-vivo use.Clone SUK-4 Form Purified Antibody (Stored in PBS + 0.03% Thimerosal) Host Mouse Species Reactivity Kinesin Heavy Chain Monoclonal Antibody, Purified Human, Rat, Bovine, Sea Urchin, Drosphila IsoType IgG1 [Ab] 1 mg/mL Specificity SUK-4 is one of a series of monoclonal antibodies generated against the 130kD heavy chain of sea urchin kinesin. This antibody recognizes an epitope at the C-terminus of the motor domain and inhibits kinesin-induced microtubule translocation in in vitro motility assays. SUK-4 cross-reacts with related epitopes on the heavy chain of sea urchin egg, bovine brain and Drosophila embryo kinesins. It does not react with squid brain kinesin.
SUK-4 localizes to sites of vesicular trafficking, especially microtubule pathways in neuronal cells and the Golgi in cultured non-neuronal cell types.Uses This antibody is effective in immunoblotting and immunofluorescence (IF). Suggested Working Dilution The optimal working dilution should be determined for each specific assay condition. - Western blot: 1:1,000*

Notes Kinesin Heavy Chain Monoclonal Antibody, Purified Predicted MW = 120 kDa Storage Store at -20°C. Upon initial thawing, apportion into working aliquots and store at -20°C.
