Description Purified Monoclonal Antibody against P-glycoprotein
(Formerly Signet Catalog No: 8720-01)Intended Use **Research Use Only (RUO)**
This product is sold for laboratory research use only, not for human or in-vivo use.Clone C494 Form Purified Antibody (in 0.01M PBS + 0.1% NaN3 + 1% BSA) Host C494 Monoclonal Antibody, Purified (SIGNET)Mouse Species Reactivity Human IsoType IgG2a Specificity C494 detects a gene-specific, internal cellular epitope (PNTLEGN) present only on the Mdr1 isoform of P-glycoprotein. C494 does not cross react with Mdr3. C494 has been shown to cross-react with Pyruvate Carbozklase (PC), an abundant 130kDa mitochondrial enzyme, on both immunoblots and immunohistochemical tissue sections. Unequivocal plasma membrane patterns of immunostaining represent true P-glycoprotein expression. Weak homogeneous, cytoplasmic, or granular patterns of reactivity may represent staining of the PC cross-reactive epitope rather than positive staining for P-glycoprotein. Uses This antibody is effective in immunoblotting, immunohistochemistry (IHC), immunocytochemistry (ICC) and immunopurification (IP). Suggested Working Dilution The optimal working dilution should be determined for each specific assay condition. - IHC: ≥1:20 for Biotin based detection systems such as Signet’s USA Ultrastreptavidin Detection (SIG-32250)
Tissue Sections: Formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissues.
Pretreatment: Not Required.
Incuabation: 20-60 minutes at room temperature.
