      Specificity This antibody was generated in rats against bacterially expressed large cytoplasmic domain fragment of chicken α8 neuronal nicotinic acetylcholine receptor subunits. It binds to the cytoplasmic surface of both native and denatured α8 subunits of AChR’s between amino acids 323-342. It does not cross-react with dog or rat AChRs.
      Uses This antibody is effective in immunoblotting, immunofluorescence (IF) and immunoprecipitation (IP).
      Suggested Working Dilution The optimal working dilution should be determined for each specific assay condition.
      • Western blot: 1:1,000*
      • IF: 1:500
      • IP: 1:150

      Storage Store at -20°C. Upon initial thawing, apportion into working aliquots and store at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to prevent denaturing the antibody. For long-term storage, keep the antibody at -80°C.
