INTRODUCTION

IFN-gamma produced by lymphocytes activated by specific antigens or mitogens.
IFN-gamma, in addition to having antiviral activity, has important immunoregulatory functions, it is a potent activator of macrophages, and has antiproliferative effects on transformed cells and it can potentiate the antiviral and antitumor effects of the type I interferons.

DESCRIPTION

IFNG Feline Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 167 amino acids (24-167 a.a) and having a molecular mass of 19.3kDa.
IFNG is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

PHYSICAL APPEARANCE

Sterile Filtered colorless solution.

FORMULATION

IFNG protein solution (1mg/ml) containing PBS buffer (pH 7.4) and 10% glycerol.

STABILITY

Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. 
For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).
Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.

PURITY

Greater than 95.0% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
