INTRODUCTION
IL-18 is a proinflammatory cytokine. This cytokine can induce the IFN-gamma production of T cells. The combination of this cytokine and IL12 has been shown to inhibit IL4 dependent IgE and IgG1 production, and enhance IgG2a production of B cells. IL-18 binding protein (IL18BP) can specifically interact with this cytokine, and thus negatively regulate its biological activity.
DESCRIPTION
IL 18 Mouse Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 158 amino acids (36-192 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 18.2kDa.
The IL 18 is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
SOURCE
Escherichia Coli.
PHYSICAL APPEARANCE
Sterile Filtered clear solution.
FORMULATION
The IL 18 protein solution (0.5mg/ml) contains Phosphate Buffered Saline (pH7.4).
STABILITY
Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks.
Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time.
Please avoid freeze thaw cycles.
PURITY
Greater than 90.0% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
