Rabbit anti Human KDM4B antibody recognizes lysine-specific demethylase 4B, also known as JMJD2B.
KDM4B is a member of the alpha-ketoglutarate-dependent hydroxylase superfamily of enzymes. Alpha-ketoglutarate-dependent hydroxylases catalyse a wide range of reactions, including hydroxylation, demethylation and desaturation (Flashman and Schofield, 2007, Hausinger, 2004). KDM4B functions as a histone demethylase and is involved in the regulation of endothelial-to-mesenchymal transition (Glaser et al. 2020). KDM4B also forms a complex with MLL2 and acts as a co-factor of ERa-mediated transcription (Kawazu et al. 2011).

This product is shipped at ambient temperature. It is recommended to aliquot and store at -20°C on receipt. When thawed, aliquot the sample as needed. Keep aliquots at 2-8°C for short term use (up to 4 weeks) and store the remaining aliquots at -20°C.
Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
