Rabbit anti Human TEAD1 antibody recognizes TEA domain family member 1 (TEAD1), also known as transcriptional enhancer factor TEF-1 or transcription factor 13 (TCF-13).
TEAD1 is a member of the TEA domain (TEAD) family of transcription factors (Xiao et al. 1991) (Mar and Ordahl, 1988) and is expressed in a number of tissues including skeletal muscle and heart (Stewart et al. 1996) (Azakie et al. 2005). TEAD1 has a DNA binding domain called the TEA domain and a YAP1 binding domain. The presence of a YAP1 binding domain allows binding of cofactors to TEAD1 that enable TEAD1 to induce gene expression (Hwang et al. 1993) (Azakie et al. 2005).

This product is shipped at ambient temperature. It is recommended to aliquot and store at -20°C on receipt. When thawed, aliquot the sample as needed. Keep aliquots at 2-8°C for short term use (up to 4 weeks) and store the remaining aliquots at -20°C.
Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
