Rabbit anti Human ATF1 antibody recognizes cyclic AMP-dependent transcription factor ATF1, also known as activating transcription factor 1 or protein TREB36.
ATF1 is a protein belonging to the ATF subfamily of the bZIP (basic-region leucine zipper) family involved in the regulation of the expression of genes involved in several cellular processes including cell growth and survival. The ATF1 protein is phosphorylated at serine 63 in its kinase-inducible domain by several serine/threonine kinases, including cAMP-dependent protein kinase A and cyclin-dependent kinase 3 (CDK3). Phosphorylation of ATF1 at serine 63 enhances its transactivation and transcriptional activity, thereby enhancing cell transformation (Zheng et al. 2008).

This product is shipped at ambient temperature. It is recommended to aliquot and store at -20°C on receipt. When thawed, aliquot the sample as needed. Keep aliquots at 2-8°C for short term use (up to 4 weeks) and store the remaining aliquots at -20°C.
Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
