Human Anti-Infliximab (Drug/Target Complex) Antibody, clone AbD18391 specifically recognizes the antibody drug infliximab when in complex with its target, TNFα (cytokine “tumour necrosis factor-alpha”). At defined experimental levels, the antibody does not recognize free infliximab nor unbound recombinant human TNFα. However, as levels greatly increase, detection is noted. It can be used to measure levels of infliximab in patient samples.
This TrailBlazer Antibody is available in two different formats, monovalent Fab unconjugated (TZA009) and bivalent Fab conjugated to HRP (TZA009P). The monovalent recombinant Fab antibody has a SpyTag incorporated, which is used to create the bivalent format by coupling two SpyTagged Fab antibodies to an HRP conjugated BiSpyCatcher2 (TZC002P). Either format can be used to develop a pharmacokinetic (PK) antigen capture assay to measure free infliximab captured via immobilized TNFα.
The antibody is tagged with a SpyTag2 at the C-terminus of the Fab antibody heavy chain, enabling the user to couple it to any of the SpyCatchers available in our catalog for conversion to alternative formats in less than one hour.

Infliximab (Remicade) is a chimeric IgG1/kappa antibody. It has been approved for the treatment of psoriasis, Crohn’s Disease, ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and ulcerative colitis. Infliximab acts by blocking the binding of TNFα to TNF receptors. Infliximab also causes programmed cell death of TNFα-expressing activated T lymphocytes.

This product is shipped at ambient temperature. It is recommended to aliquot and store at -20°C on receipt. When thawed, aliquot the sample as needed. Keep aliquots at 2-8°C for short term use (up to 4 weeks) and store the remaining aliquots at -20°C.
Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
