| 背景资料 | CRP2 is a 193 amino acid nuclear protein that belongs to the CRP family of LIM domain proteins. Highly expressed in smooth muscle of aorta, CRP2 is thought to have a role in embryonic vascular system development and is downregulated following cell injury or PDGF-B exposure. CRP2 contains two LIM zinc-binding domains and is encoded by a gene that maps to human chromosome 12, which encodes over 1,100 genes and comprises approximately 4.5% of the human genome. Chromosome 12 is associated with a variety of diseases and afflictions, including hypochondrogenesis, achondrogenesis, Kniest dysplasia, Noonan syndrome and trisomy 12p, which causes facial developmental defects and seizure disorders. |
