Guanylyl Cyclase synthesizes cGMP from GTP when activated by low intracellular Ca2+ levels. It is also the primary receptor for nitric oxide (NO) and is activated when bound by NO. Guanylyl Cyclase has been purified from bovine lung tissue using immunoaffinity chromatography.
