Phospho-AKT1 (Ser473) refers to the phosphorylated form of the serine/threonine kinase AKT1 at the serine 473 residue. This post-translational modification is crucial for the full activation of AKT1, a central component of the PI3K/AKT/mTOR signaling pathway. Phosphorylation at Ser473 is primarily mediated by the mammalian target of rapamycin complex 2 (mTORC2), enhancing AKT1's kinase activity.
